For millennia, native peoples have been a part of this land. The land has nourished, healed protected and embraced them for many generations in a relationship of balance and harmony to the present day.  The members of the WISC San Diego community acknowledge the legacy of the Kumeyaay people and the unceded land on which we reside there. The members of the WISC Los Angeles community occupies the lands of the Sesevitam, the first people of the ancestral and unceded territory of Sesevenga. Today they are known as the Tongva, Tataviam and Chumash peoples.  We find inspiration from these lands of the native peoples. We strive for relationships of balance and harmony with all of our communities.
